Message Stock cams?

I'd imagine that the although the stock turbos can put out lot of boost, they would run out of flow fairly quickly.

Do you think it would help if you re-cammed the car to make it put out its peak torque at a lower rpm to coincide with the torque curve from the turbo's? In other words, if the stock turbos are putting out their max boost at 3500 rpm and beginning to run out of steam, cam the car so that your torque peak is 3500 also. It would cut down on your peak HP, but it would give you a better torque curve, instead of being mis-matched due to turbos and cams not peaking at the same time.

For example, if you had tiny turbos and very aggressive cams, the cams would be trying to make the torque peak at 7000ish rpm, while the turbos had long ago ran out of breath at 4500 rpm. Or as is often the case I see with Z's and Supras, you have stock cams trying to make the torque peak at 3600 rpm (which nicely coincides with the stock turbos' airflow), yet the giant aftermarket turbo isn't putting out max boost until 1 rpm before redline.

But it does look like the airflow characteristics of the stock cams nicely matches with the airflow characteristics of the stock turbos, so it might not be worth it to change it.

You get the idea.
